Bonfire Night in Reception

 

Bonfire Night

This term Reception have been learning about Festivals and we have started with Bonfire Night. 

We had our own Bonfire in the wildlife area.

 

We thought about the History of the festival and the reason behind the celebration and the children learned the popular rhyme: 

The children spent time thinking about fire safety types and came up with some great suggestions.

We enjoyed some Bonfire Night traditions such as enjoying marshmallows and singing around the campfire. 

The class were extremely sensible - well done Reception!
