Year 4 Chinese New Year Art

 Today Year 4 created some simple yet stunning art work linked to the Chinese New Year.

After learning about the lunar cycle and how the story of the 12 animals led to each year being assigned a different animal, we looked more closely at 2023: The Year of the Rabbit.

We created rabbit silhouettes and used oil pastels to make the shape stand out.

I think you'll agree they look very effective!

World Book Day 2024

 We were so impressed with the costumes this year!  The children (and staff) made a brilliant effort and this also encourage lots of 'Book talk' throughout the day with children role playing as their character and discussing the stories they were from.  Well done all!
