Physical and Mental Health - Skipping in Year 4!
Year 4
This week is Children's Mental Health Week. The theme is 'Let's Connect.'
After linking this to our prior learning in PHSE and our Emotional Wellbeing unit, we spent some time focusing on our balance, co-ordination and flexibility by practising yoga.
To finish, we went outside for some fresh air and used the skipping ropes. The challenge was to skip 100 times!
Mrs Griffiths is doing a sponsored skip in aid of Cancer Research UK - skipping 100 times every day (it is harder than she thought!). Thanks Year 4 for your encouragement and support!
Why don't you try skipping at home, or another physical activity to get your heart rate up and improve your physical and emotional wellbeing?
