EYFS visit Blessed Sacrament
We were lucky to visit Blessed Sacrament church this morning for a tour with Father Paul and his wife Claire.
On the way we stopped off at the park which was a little added treat for us all.
When we arrived at church the children were split into groups and taken around to see what things were there and what they were for.
We were shown the pews, the font, the alter, the vestry, the different robes worn by Father Paul, the different candles and what they represent.
'It was good - it was nice to see Father Paul!' - Amayah
'It was so fun, I learnt all about the candles!' - Reuben
The children showed Reflectiveness as they walked around the church.
The children walked sensibly to and from the church remembering our road safety tips we had learnt previously.
Thank you to all the parents who came with us to help get us there and back safely and assist within the church.
It was very hot, but the children did a great job with the walk!
