Reception at Forest School

This term we are really lucky to be having Forest School sessions in our wildlife area. The children enjoy some extended time in the outdoor environment learning skills and exploring. 


The children have enjoyed bug hunting, climbing trees, exploring underneath logs, classifying plants and insects and using a saw to make some sustainable crafts! All of this and we've only had 2 sessions so far. 


We are really enjoying the outdoor learning and showing their resourcefulness when using different types of equipment. The work together well to move large objects as they build their reciprocity skills.

Another fantastic day at PGL! Despite the weather not playing along, we've embraced the change in schedule with enthusiasm. The children have risen to the occasion, tackling new challenges and making the most of every moment.  All the children have slept well and are enjoying the food on offer! World Book Day 2024

 We were so impressed with the costumes this year!  The children (and staff) made a brilliant effort and this also encourage lots of 'Book talk' throughout the day with children role playing as their character and discussing the stories they were from.  Well done all!
