Year 3 Explore Friction

Our IPC topic (Feel the Force) has been all about forces. As part of that, we've been exploring the effect friction has on the world. So Year 3 created an investigation to explore how the texture of material impact friction. We discovered that smoother material deceased friction and this made our car slide down the ramp quicker. On the other hand, rougher materials had the opposite effect. We look forward to exploring air and water resistance next!

Another fantastic day at PGL! Despite the weather not playing along, we've embraced the change in schedule with enthusiasm. The children have risen to the occasion, tackling new challenges and making the most of every moment.  All the children have slept well and are enjoying the food on offer! World Book Day 2024

 We were so impressed with the costumes this year!  The children (and staff) made a brilliant effort and this also encourage lots of 'Book talk' throughout the day with children role playing as their character and discussing the stories they were from.  Well done all!
