Admiring God's Wonderful world in EYFS

We have been thinking about God's wonderful world in our RE lessons this term. The children have heard the creation story from Genesis and thought about how God was pleased with his creation. We have thought deeply about the Bible verse 'God said "It was good."' We've shown our learning power of Reflectiveness as we thought about this meaning that God is proud of us.

The children have written down their favourite thing about God's world and we have thought together as a class about how we can care for the world. Some of our ideas are:

"We could water our plants and we can look after the flowers." Amelia

"Don't throw rubbish on the floor - put it in the bin." Jessie

"Keep things tidy." Brian

"Look after God's creatures." Purity

The children all contributed to come collaborative artwork drawing things from the creation story which God has made. All joined together the artwork shows God's whole creation.

We finished off our learning by singing the song 'He's got the whole world in his hands.'

Well done Reception!
