Fantastic First aiders in Reception

We have been very lucky to have a visit from a Paramedic who gave each class a First Aid workshop. 

Reception really enjoyed their workshop and listened extremely well. The skills they have learned include how to call 999 in an emergency, the recovery position and how to put on a bandage. These link to our school value of service and encourage our pupils to think of others and how they can help others. 

The children had the opportunities to practise putting on bandages, moving friends into recovery positions and singing along to 'Baby shark' as they had a go at compressions from CPR. 

They were very sensible during the session and all came away talking about what they had learned.
