Bright Sparks in Year 4!

Year 4 have started their new IPC topic: Bright Sparks! To start our topic off Year 4 covered our topic board with pictures of what they though electricity was which included static electricity from balloons and lightning. Next lesson, the class investigated how to make a simple circuit using a light bulb, two wires and a battery. We discovered what the light bulb needs to light up and looked at circuit symbols.

"The symbols make it so much clearer to see what's happening," Aurora.

"You can't just attach the wires anywhere. They have to connect to the metal parts and we need to use two wires to go to the bulb and back again."

Another fantastic day at PGL! Despite the weather not playing along, we've embraced the change in schedule with enthusiasm. World Book Day 2024

 We were so impressed with the costumes this year!  The children (and staff) made a brilliant effort and this also encourage lots of 'Book talk' throughout the day with children role playing as their character and discussing the stories they were from.  Well done all!
