Reading Stay and Learn

We LOVED our 'Reading Stay and Learn' this week. It was fantastic to see so many families joining together to read - for fun! We were delighted to see brothers and sisters coming together with mums, dads, grandparents and family friends! 

The older children were fantastic at helping adults around the school and reading to some of our younger children as well. It was great to see them acting out our school value of Service. 


We spend a great deal of time teaching reading and focusing on our reading skills and it is incredibly important for our pupils to have the opportunity to see that reading is fun and that sharing stories together, brings people together. We are grateful to all who were able to join us for this event and hope to see you at our next 'Stay and Learn' event soon!

Another fantastic day at PGL! Despite the weather not playing along, we've embraced the change in schedule with enthusiasm. The children have risen to the occasion, tackling new challenges and making the most of every moment.  All the children have slept well and are enjoying the food on offer! World Book Day 2024

 We were so impressed with the costumes this year!  The children (and staff) made a brilliant effort and this also encourage lots of 'Book talk' throughout the day with children role playing as their character and discussing the stories they were from.  Well done all!
