Year 2's Super Senses!

We have continued our Superhumans topic by investigating our senses. Did you know that brail is sometimes used to help people who cannot see fully? We felt the brail alphabet and used the patterns to write our names.

Our ears are very complex! We have learnt about the outer and inner ear. Did you know that sound travels in waves? Phoebe said 'vibration' is linked to sound and James knew that there were tiny bones inside our ears.

Some people communicate using sign language, so we had a go at using British Sign Language (BSL). Here we are signing our initials:

Another fantastic day at PGL! Despite the weather not playing along, we've embraced the change in schedule with enthusiasm. The children have risen to the occasion, tackling new challenges and making the most of every moment.  All the children have slept well and are enjoying the food on offer! World Book Day 2024

 We were so impressed with the costumes this year!  The children (and staff) made a brilliant effort and this also encourage lots of 'Book talk' throughout the day with children role playing as their character and discussing the stories they were from.  Well done all!
