Collective worship in Reception

 Every day we complete some collective Worship in school. This is sometimes whole school worship in assemblies and sometimes in class. 

Reception children have learned our 4 daily prayers and have begun to learn some hymns we can all enjoy together. During our worship we light a candle, pray and read some scripture. We also enjoy singing. They understand that worship time is important and that we are singing to God. 



This is a great opportunity for us to focus on our school values and think about how these values are also shown through our faith.

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
