Digital photography in Year 2
As part of our Computing unit 'Creating Media' Year 2 used the iPads to practise taking photographs in portrait and landscape mode. We linked this to Maths by going on a shape hunt around the school, as we have been learning about the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. We worked on our collaboration and sharing skills by sharing the roles and equipment as we completed the task.
Agnes: 'The water tray has eight sides so it must be an octagon.'
Grace: 'I can see a triangle on the gate.'
Florence: 'The glue-stick is a cylinder!'
Jayden: 'The candle is a cylinder too!'
James: 'The paper on the window is rectangular.'
Harley: 'The PE cones are cones but they have a square base.'
