Marvellous Meringues for Reception

 As part of our learning this week we have completed some cooking activities. The children we keen to make some clouds and we have been exploring clouds in many ways. We have mixed colours to create greys, we have completed and 'observing over time' experiment to see how much rain has fallen this week and we have made clouds using meringue. 

The children worked in groups to look at the recipe, help to measure out carefully and discussed what happened to the ingredients as they were mixed together. We also discussed how the meringues were cooked and thought about how the ingredients looked different to before they went in the oven!

'The egg looks like yellow Jelly.' - Mia 

'It looks like whipped cream.' - Qmari 

The children enjoyed making their clouds and enjoyed eating them too!
