Year 2 - Endangered Animals Homework Projects

To enhance and encourage independent learning, Year 2 were tasked with researching an endangered animal, creating a homework project and presenting their findings to the class. As they have been learning about habitats, life-cycles and food-chains in IPC, they had some prior knowledge to get them started.

It has been fantastic to see the children get excited about their learning, particularly by taking ownership of their project - they could choose which animal to research and how to present their project!

It has also been a great opportunity to practise skills such as speaking and listening, researching using a variety of sources, designing and creating for a purpose and choosing materials and tools.

The projects have included poems, clay models, sewing, posters, shoebox models and many more! Well done Year 2!
