Science investigators in year 3!

 In year 3, we have started our work on our IPC unit 'Making Waves'. We are currently learning all about how light and sound travel. In our last lesson we used artificial light to create shadows, it turns out the closer a light source is to an objects.. the bigger the shadow!



Next we will be using our comparative and fair testing skills to see if sound can travel through different objects. We will be creating vibrations using instruments, talking through balloons as well as using bottles!


When an object blocks light source and creates a shadow it is opaque - Aadhavan

Another fantastic day at PGL! Despite the weather not playing along, we've embraced the change in schedule with enthusiasm. World Book Day 2024

 We were so impressed with the costumes this year!  The children (and staff) made a brilliant effort and this also encourage lots of 'Book talk' throughout the day with children role playing as their character and discussing the stories they were from.  Well done all!
