Year 6 Creative Writing Workshop

Today, Year 6 participated in a creative writing planning session. We relocated to the school hall, where we collaborated in small groups to exchange ideas and deliberate on ways to enhance our work. Our task involved crafting an alternative opening for our latest novel, Holes. We delved into the possibility of a different setting and brainstormed ways to develop the central character. Everyone worked collaboratively and planned some exciting alternative beginnings.

Another fantastic day at PGL! Despite the weather not playing along, we've embraced the change in schedule with enthusiasm. The children have risen to the occasion, tackling new challenges and making the most of every moment.  All the children have slept well and are enjoying the food on offer! World Book Day 2024

 We were so impressed with the costumes this year!  The children (and staff) made a brilliant effort and this also encourage lots of 'Book talk' throughout the day with children role playing as their character and discussing the stories they were from.  Well done all!
