Brainwave Beginnings in Year 3

 This week, Year 3 started their new topic Brainwave, all about how we learn and grow. To begin, the children became teachers themselves, sharing their own skills with one another.

We had mini-sessions on everything from origami and drawing to football tricks and math's tips. It was wonderful to see the children explaining clearly, encouraging their friends, and having a go at something new.

The class quickly discovered that learning isn’t just about knowledge, but also about curiosity, resilience, and teamwork. A brilliant start to our Brainwave journey!

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
