Super maths in year 3!
This week in Year 3, we’ve been diving deeper into place value and exploring how numbers can be partitioned in different ways.
At first, we practised recognising the value of each digit in a number; hundreds, tens and ones. The children used place value counters and base ten equipment to build numbers, which helped them see how a number is made up of different parts.
Once we were confident, we moved on to partitioning numbers in more than one way. Well done Year 3 for all your brilliant mathematical thinking, keep up the great work!
Learning about maths is so fun! Norah
