Terrific Touch Typing in Year 2

Today Year 2 tried using the Chrome Books for the first time.

They learnt important skills such as logging on, using the shift key to make a capital letter, using the space and enter keys and then the fun part...


  

The Dance Mat! They took their hands for a dance as they tried to get used to using the keyboard!

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
