Year 2 Service Week

In Year 2 we thought it would be lovely to write cards of appreciation for those who 'serve' us around school.

We shared ideas - 

Who looks after us?

Who serves us?

Who does important jobs around the school?

We couldn't fit all of our ideas on the board! There are so many people who serve us, from the caretaker, dinner-ladies and office staff to the teachers, LSAs and the headteacher! The school councillors and Mini-Vinnies also got a mention!

Then we created our cards, making sure to say Thank You for those who demonstrate the act of service before delivering them to their recipients.

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
