Reception- Maths stay and learn

This week, we had our maths stay and learn. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend, the children loved sharing their learning and resources with everyone. It was so lovely to see all the children engaged in their learning through play, while showing their grown ups the learning too. 

The children took part in a range of activities, including: making patterns, tangrams (making pictures out of shapes), threading and counting, comparing amounts, making numberblocks and reading books related to maths.

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.

 We were very impressed with the costumes this year!  Year 5 Year 6 Year 4 Year 3 Year 2 Year 1 Reception Assembly  Staff Staff A wonderful effort was made by all and we were particularly impressed with the home made costumes! Well done everyone!
