Remembrance day poppies in Year 3
This week, Year 3 took part in a thoughtful and meaningful activity as they learned about the importance of Remembrance Day. As part of our discussions about courage, gratitude and honouring those who served, the children created their very own poppies.
We began by talking about why we wear poppies and what they represent. The children shared their ideas about peace, kindness and remembering people who helped keep others safe. It was wonderful to hear them speak with such sensitivity and understanding. They were then able to wear their beautiful poppies during the two minute silence to remember our fallen heroes.
It is important that we remember these special people Amayah
