Year 4 - Hot seating John the Baptist.

 Today Year 4 took part in an exciting hot seat activity as part of our Religious Education learning. We've been learning about John the Baptist this week and reflecting on how he prepared the way for Jesus. Several brave volunteers stepped into the role of John the Baptist, while the rest of the class became curious reporters eager to find out more about his life, his mission, and his message. Some fo the amazing questions asked include:“Why did you want to baptise Jesus?", “How did you know Jesus was coming?”and “Why did you go into the desert?”.

Their thoughtful questions brought the story of John the Baptist to life, helping them understand his role in preparing the way for Jesus. It also led to us thinking how we can prepare for Jesus in our own lives.

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
