Reception- P.E

 This week in P.E , Reception class were finding out different ways of stretching their bodies to make different shapes, which also linked to our maths learning this week. During maths we have been learning about triangles and circles. The children had to make sure they had enough sides to make their shapes and what they could do if there was too many of them. 

"There's four of us so we can be a square"- Grace 

"Our legs make the points like a triangle"- Quinn

"We need to have straight arms"- Immanuel

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
