Outdoor learning - Year 2 Maths
Maths - Measures (volume and capacity)
We took our learning outside today to measure using millilitres (ml) and litres (l). Using a variety of equipment (measuring jugs, cylinders and beakers), children were tasked with measuring a certain amount, for example: 300ml.
Sometimes we had to work together because the capacity of some of the cylinders was too small.
This was
also a great opportunity to practice fine and gross motor skills, reading
scales accurately and hand-eye co-ordination as we poured!
