Year 5 behind the scenes workshop

After the whole school watched the production of Pinocchio - year 5 were treated to a wonderful workshop with the actors. 
The children were given glimpses into behind the scenes. 




'It was really fun when I got to press the different coloured lights.' - Emanuela 

'It was cool to see behind the scenes - it was surprising to see that there were 9 characters but only 4 actors. It was fun to find out how they switched between the characters.' - Isabella 

'It was funny - the actors made us laugh.' - Kachi 

We got a peek at how they change the sets so quickly, how they change costumes between scenes and some children also got a change to have a go at using some of the lighting and tech for the show too! #
What a brilliant morning Year 5 have had!

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.

 We were very impressed with the costumes this year!  Year 5 Year 6 Year 4 Year 3 Year 2 Year 1 Reception Assembly  Staff Staff A wonderful effort was made by all and we were particularly impressed with the home made costumes! Well done everyone!
