Wilderness Foundation Workshop Two

Today, Year 6 enjoyed their second workshop from the Wilderness Foundation. During the workshop the instructor covered a range of interesting topic including:

  • Climates around the world

  • What climate change is

  • Natural and human influenced causes of climate change (fossil fuels and greenhouse gases)

  • Natural Greenhouse effect vs human enhanced greenhouse effect

  • Global effects of climate change (Climate causes match game)

  • Biodiversity loss due to climate change (Wild Silence Game)

  • Climate linked success stories

Another fantastic day at PGL! Despite the weather not playing along, we've embraced the change in schedule with enthusiasm. World Book Day 2024

 We were so impressed with the costumes this year!  The children (and staff) made a brilliant effort and this also encourage lots of 'Book talk' throughout the day with children role playing as their character and discussing the stories they were from.  Well done all!
