Here we are again, at the end of another year of enriched activities and experiences at St Pius X Catholic Primary! This week, in our Year 6 Leaver's Mass, Father Paul reminded us that God is always with us, and gives us the strength to cope with the challenges we face in life. Our Year 6 children leave us to begin a new journey at their secondary schools and we will be thinking of them in September as they make this transition. The rest of our children will be moving up to different year groups with new class teachers. This can be a big change for some pupils but as always, the adults will support them with this transition and we are reminded that God gives us strength too.
While we are busy finishing the term, we are also planning lots of events for the new year. It's important to pause and take time to reflect on the wonderful opportunities we have all had and to thank God for the wonderful school we have. Our school is very much part of the Church's mission and seeks to create a special atmosphere, a place where children and staff can grow to become the best they can be both academically and personally to demonstrate our six school values of kindness, forgiveness, service, peacefulness, integrity and fairness. It is at the end of the year, when we look back and reflect on this journey and give thanks to God for everything we have and how our children have grown.
I hope the weather continues to shine for all of our families so that everyone can enjoy the break. The St Pius X team look forward to welcoming the children back in September 2024 for another great year.
Wishing everyone a happy summer!
