Girls’ Netball team

Another fantastic game by the netball team this afternoon.

This was the team's last game of the year, including some of the year 6s who will be greatly missed by myself and the rest of the girls.

We hosted St Peters Primary who had a strong team of 9.
It was a close game throughout, however we managed to take an early lead and extend it with the final score being 6-4 to us.

I would like to congratulate the entire team who played wonderfully today, but I would especially like to shout out to the youngest two players Emma and Nicola.
They have come on leaps and bounds and their confidence has grown immensely.
During todays game, Emma showed some brilliant movement and dodging, tricking the opposition to receive the ball and get it into the circle for the chance to score.
Nicola scored a hat trick too. It was only the other month she told me that she didn't like shooting...hopefully after today's performance she will think otherwise.

I have enjoyed coaching the girls this year and I wish the year 6s all the best at secondary school and hope they continue to play netball.

Emma and Nicola will continue to represent the school and we have already recruited some new players for next year. I look forward to seeing a new team and how they perform.

Well done girls!
