PSHE in Year 5

We have been working hard in our PSHE lessons exploring the theme of 'Personal Relationships'. 


In one of our sessions we were encouraged to role play different scenarios involving pressure being applied to others. This activity helped the children to see different situations for others' perspectives and to try and put themselves in others' shoes. 

'It was really fun doing role play, learning that you have to think before you do something.' - Emma

'The PSHE lesson was very fun and some of the role plays made me laugh. I enjoyed doing mine - it was great to reflect on the situations.'- Liah

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
