The police visit Foundation

 The class were so lucky today to have the local Police come and visit them in their car!

As part of of our emergency vehicle topic this week, Rosie and Smithy came in to show the children their police car and uniform and discussed all the things they do to help people.

The children were given the chance to try on the uniform and hats, wear handcuffs and sit in the car!

All the children were so enthusiastic and polite and Rosie and Smithy said the class were a joy.

Coby was given the chance to be PC Coby and spoke to the class over the police radio

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
