Year 2 celebrate Mary the Queen of May

Year 2 have been learning about Mary during her special month of May. 

They made lovely Mary pictures which we have displayed in our classroom. They then laid flowers in the prayer garden by the statue of Mary and we said the Hail Mary prayer together. 

Reuben then helped during the school Marian Procession by reading part of the prayer.

Well done Year 2!

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
