Year 3 trip to Chelmsford Cathedral

 Last week, Year 3 enjoyed a lovely trip to Chelmsford Cathedral where they had a full day of singing hymns and taking part in collective worship. The service was led by Canon Seb and director of music was Dr Gibbins, who led the day and taught the children all of the hymns. The children were able to partake in some readings and Bella even got to try on some of the Chorister clothing!



I had a fun day, I really enjoyed trying on the choir clothes Bella


I had an amazing time in the Cathedral. My favourite song was water of life Tolu

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
