Pope Leo XIV - Portrait Competition

Wow - thank you so much to everyone who entered the competition... we had over 60 amazing portraits to choose from! The winners were announced today.

We love to see our pupils being creative and it is also lovely to see them celebrating our new Pope, Leo XIV.

Everyone who entered has earned 20 house points!

First Place: Ella (Year 5)

Ella's portrait will be enlarged, framed and displayed in school. Well done and congratulations!

Second Place: Rina (Year 6)

Third place: Nicola (Year 4)

The runners up have earned an extra 10hp and are as follows:

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
