🏆 St Pius X Girls Crowned Champions of the Small Schools Football League! ⚽

We are bursting with pride to announce that the Year 5/6 girls’ football team from St Pius X has been crowned champions of the Small Schools Football League!

Throughout the season, our girls put in an absolutely stellar performance. Over the course of their games, they scored an impressive 16 goals and conceded just 4—a remarkable record that shows just how strong they were at both ends of the pitch.

But beyond the numbers, it was their teamwork, determination, and spirit that truly set them apart. From the first kick-off to the final whistle, every single player gave it their all, supporting one another, staying positive, and showing real resilience in every match. Whether it was sharp passing, quick runs down the wing, solid defending, or brave goalkeeping, every girl played her part.

Mr Cook is so proud of you and everything you've achieved this season!

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
