St Pius X Year 3/4 Tennis Team Win Bronze at Chelmsford Tournament!

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from the world of school sport. Earlier in this term, our brilliant Year 3/4 tennis team brought home bronze medals after a spectacular performance at a regional tournament in Chelmsford!

Competing against 28 other school teams from across the region, our young tennis stars from St Pius X School finished an impressive 3rd overall. This achievement is even more remarkable considering the high level of competition and the sheer number of matches played. Each of our players took part in eight singles matches during the final round alone—showing real stamina, determination and skill on the court.

Mr Cook is so proud of you all, well done!!

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
