Year 2 Class Liturgies

This year, pupils in Year 2 are being given the opportunity to take home our Class Liturgy Book. 

Each week, a child is given the book which contains scripture relevant to our RE topic, the Catholic Liturgical Calendar or relevant world events and celebrations. Their task is to practise the short Bible verse to read during our Class Liturgy later in the week and to add their own thoughts and reflections (pictures, prayers) to the book.



So far the children have really enjoyed sharing their learning with family at home and the added responsibility of taking part in the Class Liturgy! We hope this will continue to add excitement, inspire personal reflection and encourage a time of sharing and reflection at home.

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
