Year 2 - New Beginnings!

Welcome back to school Year 2!

What a fun, busy time we have had already. We have been settling into our new classroom environment, learning new routines and working hard!

In RE, our focus is question is: What is a new beginning?

We have read the story of Noah's Ark from Genesis and thought about why God made a covenant and sent a rainbow. To help us remember, we created colourful rainbows and practised our fine motor skills by decorating them with coloured string.

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
