Year 4 - Forest School

 This week we came to the end of this Year 4's time in Forest School. They've had plenty of time to explore, build and enjoy being out in nature. All the students have had loads of fun over the last 6 weeks. Creating bows and sculptures have been a particularly popular activity this year. We're lucky to be doing it in the autumn this year, so we've also been collecting conkers and many have been making a range of creations using them and enjoying the changing colours of the leaves. Today was the highlight: lightig a fire and a snack.

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
