Christmas Comes Early at St Pius X! 🎄

Christmas has arrived early at St Pius X, and there’s been lots of excitement around school! Thanks to the generous support of our PTA and the fantastic fundraising efforts of our whole school community, we have been able to purchase new 8 LEGO sets and a range of new toys for the Year 1 chill-out area for use during lunchtime.



The impact of these resources is already being seen across the school. Today, our Year 6 pupils made brilliant use of the new LEGO sets by recreating Camp Green Lake, inspired by their class novel Holes. The children showed wonderful creativity, teamwork and attention to detail as they brought the setting from the book to life.




A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this possible – your support is helping to enrich learning and play for all our pupils.

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
