Merry Christmas from Year 2!

To celebrate the end of term and the approaching Christmas festivities, Year 2 have had a lovely day full of Christmas games, crafts and maths!


We have written Christmassy acrostic poems, made Christmas-themed tangrams in maths, decorated Christmas cards and decorations, played bingo and played games together.

It has been wonderful to see the children sharing, collaborating, taking turns and celebrating together.

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
