Reception- making crosses

 This week, we have been making our own crosses using clay. 

We shared the Easter Story and thought about how people would have felt when Jesus died on Good Friday and resurrected on Easter Sunday. To celebrate Jesus' resurrection, we chose to create and decorate our own crosses. 

The children used clay and different tools to create pictures and drawings on top of the crosses.

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.

 We were very impressed with the costumes this year!  Year 5 Year 6 Year 4 Year 3 Year 2 Year 1 Reception Assembly  Staff Staff A wonderful effort was made by all and we were particularly impressed with the home made costumes! Well done everyone!
