St Pius Hockey team show great spirit!

Our Key Stage 2 hockey team recently put in a fantastic performance at a tournament held at Chelmer Park. Competing as one of 30 teams, they showed great determination, teamwork and skill throughout the day.

The players worked brilliantly together, supporting each other in both attack and defence and gained valuable experience in a series of exciting matches.

Finishing 8th overall is an excellent achievement and a real credit to their hard work and positive attitude. Well done to the whole team!

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
