Year 4 tennis players impress at tournament in second place!

 We are incredibly proud to celebrate the fantastic achievement of four of our Year 4 pupils, who recently competed in a Mini Wimbledon tennis tournament against 13 local schools.

Showing determination, teamwork and impressive skill, our team played brilliantly throughout the competition, winning match after match to secure an outstanding 2nd place finish.

Finishing second out of 13 schools is a remarkable accomplishment in itself but the excitement doesn’t stop there! By achieving this result, the team has now qualified for the finals, where they will have the opportunity to compete at an even higher level.

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
