Mini Vinnies - service week

'Serving,' in Service Week - 

Yesterday, as part of Service Week, The Mini Vinnies were delighted to hold a Cream Tea event

in the afternoon welcoming grandparents of the pupils and members of The Wisdom Club, a local

Social Group in the Community.  The Mini Vinnies made sure our guests were very well looked 

after, they served delicious scones, made by our talented Catering Manager, Mrs Hughes, topped with

 cream and jam!  Delicious said all!!  We then entertained everyone with some fabulous singing and

 Year 3 also popped in and sang a song they had learned in their music lesson with Miss Lowrey, and

 showed us some freestyle dancing to!! 

Everyone had an amazing afternoon, and our guests left feeling really happy and said how fantastic

 the afternoon was!

Bawdsey Day 2

Today has been another action-packed day here at Bawdsey, with the children up bright and early, full of energy and excitement for what lay ahead. After a hearty hot breakfast to fuel the morning, the first activities kicked off: canoeing and Survivor (a fantastic session of den building and outdoor skills). The children embraced the challenge, showing great teamwork and creativity as they constructed their shelters and took to the water with enthusiasm. Following a tasty lunch, the afternoon brought even more thrills with the giant swing — a definite favourite! There were plenty of cheers (and a few nervous giggles) as each child took their turn. We rounded off the day’s activities with a problem-solving session, where teamwork, communication, and thinking outside the box were the keys to success.
